This is my beautiful One-Of-A-Kind Padmé, modeling her
One-Of-A-Kind wardrobe!  Padmé is a 12" hybrid of two dolls.
She has the head of a My First Tea Party Teresa (friend of
Barbie) by Mattel, and the body of a Perfect Prom Maxie by
Hasbro.  Teresa had the face and hair I wanted, but she had
those horrible bent-elbow arms!  Actually, she only had one
arm.  :p  Maxie had a lovely, more poseable body with beautiful
hands and arms, and flat, more realistic feet.  But she had a
big pumpkin head.  :p  So I put the two together, and she
became my perfect doll!  Well, almost. I had her repainted by
Laurie Leigh to resemble Natalie Portman, and I rooted in a
central part for more hairstyle possibilities.  And
then she was
perfect!  I plan to make all of her outfits from Episodes I and
II, and probably a few from Episode III, eventually.  Here she is
in the Tatooine peasant disguise from The Phantom Menace.  I
tried to make it to be more movie-accurate than Hasbro's
Beautiful Braids Padmé, which I was rather disappointed with.
A comparison can be seen
here.  Mattel made the boots on my
version, but the rest is by me!
Here is Padmé in her Geonosis battle
outfit from Attack of the Clones.  She
really needs a gun in her hand, in some
of these pictures.  :p  I did her hair very
quick and dirty for this photo shoot.
The boots and belt are faux leather, and
the arm bands are made out of duct
tape!  I still need to make her shin
guards, and perfect her hairstyle.  I
think the cape is my favorite part of
this outfit.
This is the start of Padmé's wedding
gown from Attack of the Clones.  I have
several different styles of lace that I
plan to use for the overdress, headpiece,
and veil.
Just for fun - Padmé must find it
comforting to know that if she didn't
make it as a senator, she could always fall
back on her considerable talent as an
underwear model!  :p
